Abstract
A neutral soluble compound of 3 : 31-diamino-4 : 41-dioxyarsenobenzene base and glucose is prepared by dissolving the base in alkali, adding glucose and well mixing, and finally neutralizing with hydrochloric acid. The resulting solution may be employed as such for therapeutic use, or the compound may be isolated by precipitation by alcohol, acetone, &c. The product may also be prepared by warming a suspension of the base in glucose solution, or according to the Provisional Specification, by dissolving the base in hydrochloric acid, mixing with glucose, and then neutralizing with caustic soda.
