Abstract
175,364. Rogers, J. H. Nov. 8, 1920. Two-stroke-cycle engines; crank chambers. - Twin cylinders, arranged as shown in Fig. 2, are mounted on a crank case comprising a central portion b and end portions a, c. Charges are compressed in the crank chambers and transferred to the combustion spaces through piston ports (not shown), opening into passages in the cylinder walls. The cranks may be coincident, or they may be spaced 180‹ apart. A deflector on the underside of each piston directs the compressed charges into contact with the head of the piston. A magneto may be mounted above the crank case.
