Abstract
174,912. Trent Process Corporation, (Assignees of Trent, W. E.). Feb. 2, 1921, [Convention date]. Materials and compositions for making gas, coke, and other products.-A homogeneous fuel suitable for the manufacture of carburetted water gas consists of a mixture of finely divided carbonaceous material, water and oil, in selected proportions. The maximum amount of water is about 56 per cent of the total mixture, coal representing 40 and oil 4. Up to 30 per cent of oil may be used when the water content is reduced to about 10 per cent, it being possible by varying the quantity of oil employed to govern the percentage of water in the resulting mass. Mixtures of low water content may be used for recovery of by-product oils of the coal, for cokemaking and in coal gas retorts.
