Composition fuel. - In agglomerating coal by means of hydrocarbons, liquid or liquefied hydrocarbon, e.g. coal-tar pitch, mazout, or tar, from a vat a is introduced into a steam pipe d leading to a superheater c whence the mixture of superheated steam and vaporized hydrocarbon passes to the mixer f containing coal or coal and coaltar pitch. The hydrocarbons are stated to be distilled in the superheated steam so that they penetrate the mass in the form of vapours of oils containing in suspension particles of heavier products resulting from this distillation.
