Abstract
174,363. Metzger, C., and Luetschen, E. Jan. 22, 1921, [Convention date]. Engines working on special systems or cycles.- Water freed from air is passed from a container 1 to a rapid steam-generator and superheater 3 wherein high-velocity steam is produced without increase of pressure and fed to an engine 4. The steam does work and condenses, the condensate being drawn off at 8 and 9 by a pump 2 which returns it through an adjustable passage 7 to the generator 3. Any air in the condensate separates in the container 1 and, on excess pressure, escapes by a safety-valve.
