Abstract

174,215. La Torre, H. de. Oct. 28, 1920. Water-tube boilers.-A locomotive is fitted with a water tube boiler comprising headers 12, 16 connected by water tubes 17 secured by means of flanges 18, 19 to the inner walls of the headers. The headers are fitted with connections 11, 15 to a water and steam receiver 8. The outer walls of the headers are connected by stays 20 passing through the tubes 17. Baffles 28, 24 are provided for deflecting the hot gases.
