Abstract

Folding boxes; fittings, internal.-A folding box for holding an inverted gas mantle is formed in one piece from a blank scored along two longitudinal lines b, b<1> and three lateral lines c, c<1>, c<2> to form twelve segments, of which the segment g carries a tab m. The segments i are formed into a holder for the base of the mantle by cutting out the parts g and making slots p, r, thus forming two forks which fold over on the lugs of the mantle and are secured by the ends of the prongs of the one fork engaging in the slots r. Slots n are formed in the parts k so that when these are folded together, as in Fig. 4, they interlock. When the box is completely assembled the corners of the parts h engage slits o in the parts j. The part m tucks inside the part d and a tab s projects outside to facilitate opening.
