Abstract

166,606. Wyse, J. E. Nov. 1, 1920. Lifeboats.-The boat has raised buoyancy chambers 7 at each end flanked by inclined decks 9 in which are cock pits 8 fitted with hinged doors. Amidships, the boat is covered with a removable deck comprising transverse boards resting on the gunwales and maintained in position by longitudinal members secured by lashings to the thwarts. The' rudder pintle is secured to the junction point of the metal keel 12 and strut member 15. The boat is provided with a pair of tabernacle masts 21 and is supported on deck by the chocks 26 of a launching-cradle 25. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 1783/00, 5579/05, and 13121/12.
