Knock-down boxes.-A knock-down box having all parts separate and detachable has the sides 10 provided with angle-covers 1, 3, 4 which pass through holes 5 in the ends, top, and bottom and are locked on the outside of the box by battens 6, which are knocked in under the projecting ports of the angle-irons. Similar angle-irons on the ends also pass through holes in the top and bottom. The battens slide between the fixed battens 8 on the various parts and are retained in position by secondary battens 7, which may be hinged to the battens 6; the battens 6 at the top and bottom engage under the projecting angleirons of the sides. The looking battens may have projections engaging an undercut in the battens 8. In a modification the secondary battens are dispensed with, the angle-irons on the sides and ends being arranged so that the locking battens engage both sets.
