Abstract

187,882. Thomas, B., and Thomas, E. Dec. 9, 1921. Partitioned boxes.-In an open, sheet-metal box of the type divided into several compartments by adjustable partitions, the upper edges of the sides are formed with an outward bead or flange 4, over which snap-devices 7 carried by the main partitions 6 are adapted to engage. The box may be further subdivided by partitions 12 which are secured to the partitions 6 by flanges 11 engaging projecting ledges 10 on the main partitions. The partitions 12 are of telescopic form, being formed in two parts, one sliding in the other. The snap device 7 is of wire and consists of a part bent outwards and downwards, to form a spring tongue 8 which is bent over at 9 to engage the under side of the bead 4.
