Abstract

160,888. Siemens Bros. & Co., Ltd., Grinsted, W. H., and Petithory, E. A. Nov. 28, 1919. Relays.-The armature 5 is pivoted at 6 to a bracket 7 mounted on, and along the length of, one of the legs of the U-shaped one-piece core 1, 2. A number of insulated beads 12 are carried by a holder mounted on the upper end of the armature, and operate the longer spring-contact blades 13' as the armature is attracted. The shorter contact-blades 13 are initially set so that lugs on their under sides press lightly against projections formed on an insulated spacing-block 17, which is carried by a rectangular frame 16 and is positioned in close proximity to the beads 12. The operative side-surfaces of the poles 1, 2 are ground or machined flat. The edges of the frame 16 are chamfered at 20 and 21 so that the cover may be readily fitted on against the endplate 22.
