160,767. Chardonnet, Count H. de. March 23, 1920, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Pressure-relieving devices for fluids.-A pressure-compensating device particularly applicable for use in connection with a machine for spinning collodion, such as is described in Specification 10857/15, [Class 2 (ii), Cellulose &c.], comprises a corrugated tube A held by a central bolt D between two end plates B, C provided with packing-washers a. The lower plate B is secured to the pipe line so as to admit fluid pressure to the chamber. The corrugated tube may be made by rolling and drawing a weldless tube or coiled strip or a corrugated strip may be coiled round a mandrel and secured by rivets or brazing. The tube may be surrounded by a sleeve or by bands to limit its outward movement.
