Embossing-machines.-In a machine for making tubes, specially designed for packing bicycleframes &c., from a longitudinal strip of cardboard which is curved in transverse direction so that one edge abuts against the other edge and the tube can be opened on its entire length, the cardboard strip is drawn through preliminary shaping-dies c, d, Fig. 1, with a finishing-die e. The finishing-die is located in an oil-chamber which is provided with an oil inlet h and is heated by a gas-burner g, and the whole is surrounded by an envelope i. The machine is completed by drawing-mechanism k and a cutting-device t, Fig. 2, which are both operated from a shaft p.
