Leakage-preventing devices.-For preventing leakage between the impeller a and casing d of a centrifugal pump, metallic packing-rings e are placed round short trunnions b on the impeller which project into the casing. Springs f hold the rings against the impeller, and pins enter the casing to prevent the rings from rotating. A lubricator h is attached.
