Balancing moving parts; casings. - A multistage centrifugal pump is provided with a plurality of balancing discs such as 4, 9 each located in its own chamber 5, 10 and co-operating with a face 3, 8 thereof to form the leakage clearances through which the balancing fluid flows in series. Plugs 7 may be removed for inspection purposes.
