346,999. Centrifugal pumps. BRITISH ELECTRIC PLANT CO., Ltd., Longcarse, and MAUDLING, A. W., 18, Victoria Street, both in Alloa, Clackmannanshire. April 22, 1930, No. 12479. Addition to 228,365, [Class 110 (i), Centrifugal and screw fans &c.]. [Class 110 (i).] Casings.-In the parent Specification out-turned spiral passages in the diffuser ring, of gradually increasing cross sectional area pass through tunnels before turning axially to face ports in the diaphragm. The Figure of the present Specification shows a modified arrangement in which the tunnels are dispensed with, each out-turned spiral passage B gradually diminishing in axial depth along its length. Each passage B leads from the impeller periphery to a conduit in an adjacent diaphragm and to the eye of the next impeller.
