Abstract

430,963. Centrifugal fans. STOTT, O., Chomlea, Claremont Road, Pendleton, Salford, Lancashire. Nov. 12, 1934, No. 32547. [Class 110 (i)] The back plate of a centrifugal fan impeller is built up from a number of triangular strips a which are secured together at their edges to form a pyramid. The plate is strengthened by triangular struts b arranged with their planes passing through the axis of the pyramid and triangular struts d arranged with their planes at right angles thereto. The hub is a large bore metal tube adapted to receive suitable sleeves.
