Abstract

417,232. Screw fans. MATHER, C., 353, The Cliff, Higher Broughton, Salford, Lancashire. March 29, 1934, No. 9783. [Class 110 (i).] A hollow bladed impeller is strengthened by rods 10 held between the plates 5 forming the blades. The rods 10 are contained within slots 9 in the plate and ribs 7 in the members 5. A flange 6 may be cut away to provide an impeller of any required size. Additional strength is afforded by a plate 8 and the hub of the impeller is composed of the superposed plates 5 and 8.
