Abstract

625,155. Screw propellers. GASKELL. C. R., and GREEN, M. C. Jan. 16, 1947, No. 1499. Convention date, April 14, 1943. [Class 114] The blade root 30 is forced into the ferrule 10, and has attached to it by screws 25 a transverse plate 22 which bears against projections 18 in the ferrule. The screws are selftapping, and are arranged in concentric circles with the longest screws nearest the blade axis. In a modification, the ferrule has an external shoulder by which it is held in a split propeller hub. Specifications 512,152 and 617,321, [Group XXII], are referred to.
