[Class 110 (i)] In a screw-fan, part of the output is returned to the inlet 18 through ports 14 and passage 17, the amount being controlled in accordance with the fan load, as by pivoted blades 15 angularly adjustable to vary the amount and the spin imparted to the returning fluid. Specifications 295,018, [Class 110 (i)], 351,760 and U.S.A. re-issue Patent 20408 are referred to.
