[Class 69 (ii)] Adjustable guide vanes C in the return circuit between secondary and primary impellers B, A control the liquid flow and hence the power output of the secondary from full power to no transmission, in which latter condition the liquid is diverted into a hollow casing E carried by the primary impeller. Each impeller and the guide vanes may comprise one or more rows of blades. Vanes F assist rotation of the liquid.
