Liquids, treating with gases.-Towers of reinforced concrete having walls 1 of double-curved form as set forth in Specification 108,863, [Class 29, Cooling &c.], are fitted at the neck portion with one or more fans 2, preferably of aeroplane propeller form, to produce an upward draught. The fan may be mounted on a vertical shaft 3 driven from an external motor 7. The towers may be used for degassing liquids.
