[Class 110 (i).] The shaft b of a centrifugal fan k for circulating the atmosphere in a tunnel furnace is fitted with a ribbed metal cooling sleeve, or as shown with a propeller fan f, which forces air through the tube g and the damper-controlled outlet l. A damper m allows cold air to be mixed with the tunnel atmosphere.
