Abstract

253,303. Millington, W. E. W. April 24, 1925. Casings. - The casing of a centrifugal pump has a number of spaced delivery passages a, b, c, d vhich form tappings for the liquid from the impeller. The passages may be of circular or rectangular cross-section and are of diverging form; they are set at an angle to the radial direction. The passages a, b, c are shown with pointed, chamfered, and rounded edges respectively, and the part f of the casing has a greater clearance than the remaining part from the impeller. Specification 253,302 is referred to.
