[Class 110 (i)] A de-aerating pump 3 connected to the suction side of a centrifugal pump 2 by pipes 7, 8 and an automatic valve 9, has an air-inlet valve 11 which automatically admits air to the suction of pump.3 at a pre-determined depression in the latter.
