Abstract

505,510. Diaphragm pumps. HALL, S. A. BARR-, and WICKHAM & CO., Ltd., D. Nov. 13. 1937, No. 31208. [Class 102 (i)] A diaphragm pump for liquids or semisolids comprises two diaphragms A, B rigidly connected by one or more distance pieces C coupled to an operating lever I, the diaphragm B being fitted with one or more non-return valves G and the diaphragm A having no aperture or otherwise completely sealed. The base chamber D is fitted with one or more inlets J with non-return valves E, and the chamber F with one or more delivery outlets K. The Provisional Specification states that some of the outlets may be fitted with inspection plates or priming devices, and that priming may also be effected through the top diaphragm by means of sealed priming devices with non-return valves.
