Abstract

291,936. Wilks, G. L. May 12, 1927. Priming; strainers. - Relates to pumps for pumping liquids containing solids, and consists in arranging between the pump and the air exhauster used for priming same, a strainer 1 provided with a piston 7 which may be operated to clear the strainer of solid matter. The strainer is mounted in a casing 2 connected at 6 to the pump and at 5 to the air exhauster.
