Abstract

131,781. Frame, W. J. Oct. 18, 1918. Multi-stage centrifugal pumps.-In a pump of the " back-to-back " type, the discharge passage from the second stage crosses the inwardly turned portion n of the channel from the discharge of the first stage g. The passages are suitably shaped so as not to obstruct the inward flow of the fluid to the second stage, and the rear wall of each channel projects into the annular space s and assists in guiding the discharge from the second stage.
