Abstract

572,736. Rotary pumps. PARNALL AIRCRAFT, Ltd., and DRAPER, F. C. Nov. 1, 1941, No. 14098. [Class 110 (ii)] In a rotary pump of the kind having a rotor 1 with radially slidable vanes 3 rotating in a chamber M eccentric to the rotor, the inner ends of the vanes engage floating rings 5 arranged as seals between the rotor and the end walls of casing M, so that their outer ends are held against the peripheral surface of M. The end plates 6 of the casing M carry trunnions L supported in bearings in arms G pivoted at H, so that the eccentricity of casing may be varied or reversed. Specification 572,737 is referred to.
