462,006. Rotary pumps. NICHOLS, T. W. Aug. 30, 1935, Nos. 24268/35 and 6991/36. [Class 110 (ii)] A rotary pump or compressor having a slotted rotor a eccentrically arranged within a stator g, is provided with end plates c<1>, c<2>, which are attached to the rotor to strengthen the rotor segments. A packing ring k is spring-pressed against the outer periphery of each plate. Nuts d<1> and collars el secure the plates on the shaft b. The plates and rotor may be cored to permit the circulation of a cooling medium.
