Abstract

362,621. Rotary pumps. WERNERT, K., 2A, Weissenburgerstrasse, Mulheim, Ruhr, Germany. Nov. 10, 1930, No. 33784. [Class 110 (i).] In a submersible pump, the electric motor 2 is arranged above the pump 1 and an air space 4 is provided between them and is connected by a port 7 to the liquid in the bore-hole. The annular space between the casings 3 and 5 serves as the pump delivery and aids to cool the motor and prevent escape of air from the space 4. An annulus 8 prevents leakage of liquid along the pump shaft.
