Abstract
151,180. Parsey, E. M. Nov. 12, 1919. Two-stroke-cycle engines; crank chambers.-In an engine using crank case compression and having a pair of cylinders disposed one on each side of a central crank shaft, a centre partition h<1> divides the crank chamber into the compartments, one of which serves as the pump space for each cylinder. The crank case comprises end castings c, e and a central casting d provided with the partition h<1>. The crank shaft is formed in one piece, and to facilitate mounting the central casting d is divided in a plane containing the axes of the cylinders and the crank shaft. Alternatively, the casting d may be slotted and slipped over the crank-shaft.
