Crank chambers; cylinders, cooling. - The crank-chamber of a two-stroke-cycle engine is formed with a jacket 3' through which the cooling water passes before it reaches the cylinder jacket 3. The water is circulated through the jackets and a radiator by a rotary pump. A jacket 3<11> in the lower part of the crank chamber serves as a receptacle for lubricating oil. If the jackets 3<1>, 3<11> are united the cooling water may be circulated through them or the combined jacket may be filled with lubricating oil.
