249,532. Morgan, A. March 18, 1925, [Convention date]. Pistons, cooling. - In a two-stroke-cycle internal-combustion engine with independent pumps 3, 4 for air and combustible mixture, the pistons have conical, stepped projections 36 on their interiors and a channel 37 with holes 38 cast at their lower ends. An oil pump draws from a sump 25 in the crank case and delivers lubricant to nozzles 22 - - 24 through which it is projected into the pistons. The projections 36 distribute the oil over the interior of the pistons, some of the oil entering the channels 37 and passing to the cylinder walls.
