Hinges.-In hinges for windows, doors, &c. as described in Specification 14345/15, one leaf consists of a rectangular part A, A<1>, fixed to the outside and edge of the sash and a curved arm C, and the other leaf consists of a strap fastened to the frame and a curved arm F. The strap fixed to the sash may be U-shaped and fixed to the front edge and back of the sash. The wood of the sash and jamb may be recessed to receive the straps and to allow moisture to drain away.
