Cooling parts.-In gas turbines having several explosion chambers the gases are discharged from the last ring of rotor blades through an annular' extaust a so so as to take with them a stream of cooling or scavenging air which is drawn by induction through the explosion chambers and a passage 5 formed between a ring 4 and the casing. An exhaust fan or blower is thereby dispensed with, and the waste gases of the turbine can be used in other ways.
