Abstract
292,085. Akt.-Ges. Brown, Boveri, et Cie. June 10, 1927, [Convention date]. Addition to 288,217. Working-fluid supply. - In an exhaust gas turbine driving a blower for supplying air to an internal combustion engine as described in the parent Specification, the compressed air which is used to increase the power when required is introduced into the turbine through some of the nozzles to which normally gas is admitted. Within the exhaust gas nozzle chamber b is arranged a nozzle chamber a into which, normally, gas passes by a non-return valve d. When compressed air is admitted by pipe g, the valve d is closed, and the air passes through the nozzle ring c to the rotor h. The chamber a may be made in one with the nozzle ring c.
