Cooling parts.-Relates to the circular exhaust nozzle a described in the parent Specification, through which the exhaust gases from the gas turbine are discharged, drawing with them a stream of cooling and scavenging air induced round the rotor. According to the present invention, the exhaust gases suck the cooling air not only through the outer slot e, but also through an inner slot f by way of a channel g round the exhaust chamber, thereby cooling the exhaust side of the rotor. The relative proportions of the slots e, f may be varied to suit requirements, and the slot e may be dispensed with altogether.
