[Class 110 (iii)] Relates to gas turbine plant in which the power rotor f and the rotor g driving the compressor are mounted on independent coaxial shafts and consists in supplying the fixed guide rings d, e with gases from a single combustion chamber a without the interposition of pipes or regulators. In Fig. 1, the gases traverse the rotors in parallel; in Fig. 2, in series. The rotors may run in the same or in opposite directions and may have different speeds. The compressor rotor may have several rings of blades. The rotors exhaust through diffuser rings to a regenerator. In the series arrangement the gases may be reheated between the rotors. Cooling air may be introduced into the chamber through the space m. Regulation is effected by controlling the fuel supply ; the speed may rise slightly as the load increases.
