Abstract

145,451. Mõdler, F. L. Sept. 26, 1918. [Convention date]. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel; vaporizers, external.-Air enters a small cylinder 6 through a port m from the main cylinder a and liquid fuel through the port n at the end of the outstroke of the piston l. During the instroke the air is compressed sufficiently to vaporize or gasify the fuel which is forced through the ports o, m into the cylinder where it is ignited electrically. A port controlled by a valve in the base of the cylinder may be substituted for the port m, and the timing of the valve may be adjustable. In the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) it is stated that some of the fuel may be ignited in the cylinder b so that the resulting pressure may expel the remainder into the lower cylinder, also that the air enters the cylinder b from the atmosphere and at starting when the cylinder b is cold the fuel and air may be forced into the main cylinder by the piston l and ignited electrically. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
