Abstract

1436944 Lamps RISTS WIRES & CABLES Ltd 29 Oct 1973 [21 Nov 1972] 53841/72 Heading F4R [Also in Division H2] Panel-mounting lamp assembly for bayonet type bulb 13 comprises, under insulating translucent cover 12, an integral U-section support 10 carrying spring clip 14 having two arcuate arms 16 and (15) to embrace the bulb base 28, each with a recess 18, (17) for the opposed bayonet pin 27. The recess in arm 16 is wider than that in hidden arm (15) to increase tolerance in manufacture. A second spring clip 22 presses bulb 13 upward, urging pins 27 into the recesses while also making contact with centre terminal 26 of bulb, spring clip 14 forming the outer contact; insulation 31 on clip 22, interrupted in depression 25, prevents a short-circuit when the bulb is absent. Rivets 20, 23 securing clips 14, 22 also carry terminal tags 21, 24.
