Abstract

1399192 Lampholder CIBIE PROJECTEURS SA 19 April 1973 [14 June 1972] 19063/73 Heading H2E A lampholder for a single-contact bayonet cap lamp comprises an insulating shell with internal bayonet slots 101 and leaf spring 110 urging the lamp towards the mouth and acting as an electrical contact. A spring strip (103, Fig. 1, not shown), on the mouth acts as return contact. The holder is formed with aperture 160 in its side and bar 170 across the entry channel of the aperture. Spring 110 is inserted through the aperture and clips over the bar with tong 132 latching behind the bar while projections 137 engage the holder wall. The conductor of cable 201 is crimped to the projecting tail 202. The "U" 120 of the spring (or single strip if sufficiently resilient) makes contact with the centre contact of the lamp.
