Abstract

1400466 Clip &c fastenings MOLEX Inc 12 June 1972 [28 Sept 1971] 27417/72 Heading E2B [Also in Division H2] A socket contact 10 for mounting on a flexible circuit 12 comprises a conductive body having a planar portion 20 with tangs 26 extending therefrom adapted to be forced through from one side of the circuit and crimped towards the other side to connect with a conductor 30 and to mount the contact on the circuit, the portion 20 having slots 34-38 which form two spaced parallel arms 40, 42 with opposed portions 44, 46 for bearingly receiving a male contact 14 to have an interfering fit therebetween. The contact 10 is pressed from one piece of sheet metal with a rim 22 and four tangs 26 and is mounted over an aperture 33 in the circuit 12.
