Abstract
140,680. Vos, C. J. J. L. de. July 12, 1919. Fonders.-For the protection of boats, cane or wickerwork is provided and attached by clips to the gunwale and keel. At the gunwale and keel, cork plates are included in the wickerwork for increasing buoyancy. Clips 2 are attached at intervals along the gunwale by screws 3 and provided with bolts 4 on which the wickerwork is twisted and then fastened by plates 6 and nuts 5. Canes 7 are arranged transversely on the boat, and the wickerwork is twisted round and outside these canes 7. Cork plates 9, 10 are worked in as shown, and act as fenders and to increase buoyancy. The lower ends of the canes 7 are secured to the keel by bolts 13, so that each half of the covering is removable in one piece. The wickerwork is also attached to the stem and stern post by U-shaped clips.
