Abstract

458,521. Rafts. SAVILE, R. A., Cedar House, Preston Down Road, Paignton, Devon. Aug. 30, 1935, No. 24304. [Classes 113 (i), 113 (ii), and 114] A craft which may be employed as a bathing - float comprises a main central hull 1 having at each end air chambers 2, the central part 7 being open to accommodate the user. The central hull is flanked on either side by shorter pontoons 17 which are connected together and to the main structure by the transverse members 15, 16. The oars are provided with corrugated sheet-metal blades and the rowlocks, and with rubber sleeves with flanged ends which are forced through the inclined rings 23 of the rowlocks.
