Abstract

Air casings and watertight casings; non- structural.-In air and water craft in which abutting tubes with closed ends are incorporated in the shell or interposed between inner and outer skins with a view to imparting increased buoyancy or lift to the structure, alternate tubes 4 are provided with oppositely-disposed concave recesses 5 of about 60‹ segment to accommodate the remaining completely circular tubes. This arrangement of the tubes may also be employed in the construction of rafts, tables, and sections of decking to act as supports for life-saving purposes.
