Abstract

1384417 Silencing gaseous flow; ejectors INSTITUTUL PENTRU CREATIE STIINTIFICA SITECHNICA 24 Aug 1972 [13 Dec 1971] 39517/72 Headings F1B and F1E The flow of air from an inlet 18 through a sound-absorbing duct 1 is induced by the flow of gas, e.g. from an industrial plant, from an annular slot f over the exterior of a profiled body 11 within the duct due to the coanda effect. The duct 1 and body 11 define a diffuser downstream of the slot f. Gas is supplied to the slot f through a pipe 16 lined with sound-absorbing material. A sound-damping screen 7 is located adjacent the inlet 18.
