Abstract

1375418 Silencing gaseous flow SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN AB 29 Nov 1971 [17 Dec 1970] 55405/71 Heading F1B [Also in Division F4] A device for supplying air to or exhausting air from a room comprises a chamber 1 having therein a hollow truncated cone or pyramid 2, the base of which defines an air inlet to the chamber and an air outlet 3 in the chamber wall opposite the mouth of the cone or pyramid. Mineral wool 6 acting as sound attenuating material is disposed about the cone or pyramid. One wall of the pyramidal duct 2 may be displaceable to alter the inlet and outlet cross-sections of the duct.
