Abstract

1,248,920. Exhaust ventilators. GLENT & CO. A.S. 9 Oct., 1968 [11 Oct., 1967 ; 22 March, 1968], No. 47901/68. Heading F4V. An exhaust ventilator, which may lead to a duct in the wall of a building, comprises a tubular section 1 carrying a flange 2 in which is secured a ventilator housing 4 having tapering walls there being a ventilator body 8 of generally rectangular cross section slidably mounted within the housing. Two sides 10 of the body 8 are concave. The body can slide into or out of the housing by pulling the appropriate string 25 or 26 to vary the air flow through the ventilator. The outer aperture of the ventilator housing having a greater area than the area of the base of the ventilator body, the inner aperture of the ventilator housing being of substantially the same shape and area as that of the base of the ventilator body.
