Abstract

1,092,529. Ventilators. H. LOHMANN, [trading as LOHMANN - APPARATEBAU KOMM.-GES.]. Dec. 28, 1964 [Dec. 30, 1963], No. 52555/64. Heading F4V. A stable ventilator has a partition 4 dividing a stable wall opening into an air inlet 5 and an air outlet 6, air from the inlet being ejected through a slot 12 into the stable and air being exhausted from the stable by a fan 8. As shown in Fig. 1, the slot is formed between an open top of the ventilator housing and the stable ceiling 10 and extends over an angle of 180 degrees. In a modification, Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown), the slot is formed in the ventilator housing and that part of the housing leading air to the slot forms an inclined passageway whose side walls diverge and whose top and bottom walls converge. A flap valve 15 is arranged in the ventilator to be adjustable between the position shown and a position in which it closes the outlet 6 to allow recirculation of air within the stable.
